About 10 years ago a fire fighter by the name of Joel Lederhause intended to use the internet to get rid of some ramps free of charge. Little did he know what his plan would escalate to. What he thought would be a load off turned out to be a huge bucket of financial wealth.
At the moment he owns Discount Ramps LLC, an e-tailing company consisting of 400 domain names that feed into 25 websites selling over 8,000 products. The company expects to see $15.5 million in revenue for the year of 2008.
Lederhause did not know a thing or to about business when he first started out. He graduated High school, trained to be an auto technician, and is a former fire fighter. When Lederhause couldn’t sell his ramps offline he made them available online to get rid off. Having difficulty removing his material from the internet because of little feedback, he decided to leave it alone. After returning to check on his experiment of ramp supply, he discovered how much of a demand his product had actually become.
After doing business with the military and refunding their money, Lederhause decided to push his service to the extreme. By 2001 he was earning $100,000 from his products. Up to date, Discount Ramps LLC has been self-funded. Now Lederhause is looking for a funding partner, but until then he has enough business to keep him occupied.
I look at this a very classical chronicle since Lederhause didn’t have any intentions for what he has achieved thus far. Everyone is capable of extreme wealth at any point in life. Just remember when you see a legit financial opportunity act and execute as Lederhause did.
