I have taken a sabbatical from posting on the blog for several months. I saw the downturn coming but did not think it would be this severe. I did not want to post financial opinions when so many people were bombarded by that info day and night.
To add further insult to injury, this Bernie Madoff situation is disgusting. It paints such a negative picture on the entire money management business. I have been reading and watching the turn of events in the media, and all I can think of are the unfortunate people who have lost their life savings.
2009 is soon going to be upon us. A new day, new month , and a new year. We will get thru this.
The silver lining is that this huge downturn offers opportunity to those who have patience, courage, and more importantly cash.
I am certainly investing for the future for my clients who have a time horizon of more then 30 seconds.
